Get ready to enjoy a quick bite at an innovative new dining spot coming to the southeast side of campus, Local x Design. The name reflects its location inside Bauer Wurster Hall, which houses the College of Environmental Design.
Local x Design will offer a seasonal and farm-first experience with a commitment to local and sustainably sourced food. It will be serving up the East Bay’s famous Boichik Bagels for breakfast as well as coffee, tea, and other beverages from Peet’s. Lunch between classes will be a breeze with a variety of customizable salad bowls, protein bowls, and fresh sandwiches. Easy-to-order, grab-n-go meals will be just a taste bud away.
Feature dishes offered from 11 a.m to 6 p.m.
- Latinx Heritage Month (September 15 – October 10): Caribbean Coconut Fish with roasted peppers, cilantro, and pomegranate, served alongside Spanish-style rice and a lemon-parsley garbanzo salad.
