On-Campus Meal Plans 2025–2026

Community is one of the great reasons why students in residence halls are required to have a meal plan. Food brings people together—whether you eat in the dining commons or pick up snacks to go with friends. While students are automatically enrolled in the Blue & Gold Plan, an upgraded unlimited meal plan is available to meet your needs.

To upgrade or make other changes, simply fill out the On-Campus Meal Plan Change Form during the limited change period:
- Fall: March 1 – September 13, 2025
- Spring: December 1, 2025 – February 7, 2026
Available plans
Two meal plans are available for students who live in the residence halls. Meal plans are made up of two components:
- Meal Swipes: A set number of meal swipes to use each week at the dining commons or as a meal equivalency at participating locations. Meal swipes may only be used by the meal plan holder.
- Flex and Flex+ Dollars: A set number of flex dollars and flex+ dollars to use each semester that function like cash and work on a declining balance.
- Flex dollars: Use at all UC Berkeley Dining locations, including UC Berkeley Dining pickup on Grubhub.
- Flex+ dollars: Use everywhere flex dollars do—plus Grubhub nationwide.
